As part of the anti-criminality campaign of the Philippine National Police, LIGTAS SUMVAC 2015 has been ordered once again to ensure the safety and security of travellers and motorists by intensifying police presence starting from the last week of March until the end of May this year.
Covering holidays like the Holy Week, town fiestas, Bataan Day and Flores de Mayo, Ligtas Sumvac is outlined to ensure public safety through increased number of foot and mobile patrols, together with Police Assistance Desks/Centers. Road Marshalls will be deployed in convergence points like bus terminals, airports, train stations, highways and other recreational areas.
The PNP encourages the public to be proactive in sharing with the police timely information through their Twitter account: @pnppio and @pnphotline or via the PNP Facebook page, and Isumbong Mo Kay TSIP hotline at 0917-8475757. (PNP-PIO)
