People360 celebrated its first ever family day, held last April 28, at the Barangay Apolonio Samson covered court. Aside from marking it as a day for employees with their families, it also serves as a day to celebrate Earth Day and World Safety Day, hence the theme “People360 Family ESH Day 2018”. Environment, Safety and Health (EHS) is a discipline and specialty that studies and implements practical aspects of environmental protection and safety at work. It is what organizations must do to make sure that their activities do not cause harm to anyone. People360 formed its own ESH Committee, divided into the following teams: Promo & Communications, 5S, Training & CSR, ERT (Emergency Response Team), OH (Occupational Health), BBS (Behavior Based Safety), Environmental, Risk Analysis, Kaizen Lean Six Sigma, and Evaluation.
The event was a success, as the program and contingency plans are well-prepared by the committee, and thru everyone’s cooperation. The event is also made more possible with the support from partners and sponsors.
The program kicked-off with a 3-part lecture about ESH. It is participated in by People360’s Engr. Althea Nape on the topic of environment, Sir Jessie dela Cruz on the subject of safety, and Sir Noli Galleon for the health aspect. It tackles the effects of bad habits to each aspect, and the good practices that the company wishes to impart not only to its employees but to their families as well.
A host of other activities with the same theme were facilitated by People360’s own staff. Among the highlights were the kiddie activities like puzzle-making and coloring, an art contest for the 7-11 years old and the teens category, face painting for kids and adults alike, a “trash” sorting game for employees per division, the company’s own set-up of photo booth that everyone happily had their pictures taken as souvenirs. Not to mention are the freebies given at the registration: ecobags containing stainless reusable straws to raise awareness against the use of plastic, and a 3-in-one safety flashlight, whistle and compass. And while everyone enjoyed their healthy lunch, People360’s own band, coined as “360 Band” composed of some of the very talented employees, performed pop songs to the delight of everyone.
A sunny and hot Saturday it is, but it did not hinder the employees and their families’ presence and participation to the event. It is a pleasant experience for all, henceforth it will be an annual event for the People360 family, as promised in the speech of the company’s CEO and president, Engr. Cesar Dumayag.
