Looking Back.. But Anticipating the Future

Rosanna M. Tubelonia

July 27, 2017 may be memorable to some because of the rains brought about by typhoon Gorio But to People360 Corp, the rains symbolize blessings aplenty, from the past years, the present, and now the future.

It was the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the dream of its CEO and President, Engr. Cesar M. Dumayag for a  4-storey Corporate Center. According to him, “when we started this company six years ago, we never anticipated that it would grow this fast, in terms of services offered as well as the staff to carry out said services. From a mere small room, it has a main office along EDSA and branches in Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and just recently, Batangas. And while the Corporate Center can be seen as a sign of progress for people outside the company, for Engr. Dumayag, it is more about the building and its facilities being the means in which the company can serve its clients better and giving them the utmost quality service. It is a critical part on the company’s Quality journey.

Quality means conducting three trainings simultaneously; a training lab where participants get to “feel, see and even touch” OSH items such as personal protective  equipment, samples of Lock out tag out materials, rather than seeing only pictures  of such items.

Quality also means housing  more modern equipment procured from reputable sources abroad (US and Singapore) for the WEM and the Testing Departments. WEM will also have space for chemical analysis so that clients can get the laboratory results so much quicker than today. Consultants engaged by its Consulting Division will also have space to map out, report on, or write their project engagements.

It also means staff welfare and fitness facilities for  staff to unwind and also take better care of their health.

While looking enthusiastically at the future, Engr. Dumayag also said that the building is also a testimony to those persons who initially helped the company especially when it was on ‘survival mode”. They will never be forgotten as a model for the present staff to emulate. He specially thanked Father Buddy Ballesteros, their parish priest who was always there to bless landmarks in the life of the company. He also thanked his wife, Mam Tess, for her support and unwavering belief in his vision. He also acknowledged the efforts of the staff since he said that all these would not have been possible without their trust in him.

Present to witness the occasion were the company’s consultants and mentors on quality and productivity, Professors Pete and Miflora Gatchalian. Also present was Brgy. Captain Cheche de Jesus, Engr. Lito Santos and Architect Irma Santos , Engr. Mario Dumayag and Engr. Jessie dela Cruz, VP for Quality.

After the prayers, the lowering of the time capsule and  the symbolic shoveling of the dirt into the ground, those present were treated to a simple but sumptuous meal while an angelic chorus sang to attract blessings from the heaven.

The rains truly brought so much blessings on this day (July 27, 2017)! More are expected in the future.
